Ewen Gilmour
Chief Executive Officer
Ewen is a chartered accountant and has worked in the Lloyd’s market for 13 years. He joined Chaucer in 1998 and is Chief Executive of Chaucer Holdings PLC and Chaucer Syndicates Limited. Formerly a corporate financier with Charterhouse Bank from 1980 to 1993, becoming a director in 1987, he joined the Corporation of Lloyd’s to help facilitate the introduction of corporate capital to the Lloyd’s market in 1993. He is also Chairman of the Lloyd’s Market Association Processes Committee and was elected to the Council of Lloyd’s on 1 February 2006 and subsequently appointed a Deputy Chairman of Lloyd’s.
 
 
Mark Graham
Chief Financial Officer
Mark is an actuary and joined Chaucer in January 1999 as Group Actuary and a Director of Chaucer Syndicates Limited. He was formerly Company Actuary with Ashley Palmer Limited from 1997 to 1998, becoming a director in 1998. Prior to that, he was a Commercial Lines Actuary with London & Edinburgh Insurance Group. He is a former Chairman of the Committee of Actuaries in the Lloyd’s Market and a member of the Lloyd’s Market Association (LMA) and the LMA Capital Committee. He has recently joined the Lloyd’s Investment Committee.
 
 
Robert Stuchbery
Chief Underwriting Officer
Robert is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute and has worked in the Lloyd’s market for 16 years. He was appointed Underwriting Director of Chaucer Syndicates Limited in April 2000, responsible for overseeing all underwriting within the Group. He was previously the Active Underwriter of Syndicate 1096. Prior to joining Lloyd’s, he was with CNA Reinsurance of London Limited from 1977 to 1987, working both in London and the USA. He is a member of the Lloyd’s Market Association Board and is currently the Chairman of its Underwriting and Claims Committee.
